About Jerilee
Hello! I’m Jerilee - a psychotherapist and mum of 2 little ones. I’m passionate about supporting women through ‘Matrescence’ - the transition from woman to mother.
As with adolescence, some cruise through it, some struggle. So many factors influence how you enter and experience motherhood, from your own childhood, to your finances, your relationships, and your pregnancy.
After 15 years of specialising in anxiety & child attachment, this much is clear: our first 1000 days have a life-long impact on our emotional wellbeing. That’s why I’m all about supporting mums & bubs through Matrescence with coaching, classes & e-courses - I really do think it’s the foundation for raising happy, healthy humans.
I’m here to…
…listen and take care of you so that you can enjoy a beautiful, wholehearted bond with your baby, free of the patterns, beliefs and anxieties that hold you back.
…help you overcome the #mumguilt & ‘shoulds’, so that you can sleep, feed & love your baby in a way that feels good and natural to both of you.
…help you balance selfhood & motherhood, so that you can be the best version of yourself, and a model of self-love & fulfilment for your children.
I believe
…that therapy really has the power to change lives. I would know because it changed mine. I recall leaving my therapist’s office at aged 23, blown away by how different I felt, not just emotionally but physically. I’d been asked questions that nobody had ever asked me, and that set me on a path to experiencing life in a radically healthier, more empowered way. I’m here to hold that sacred space for you, so that you can PAUSE and reconnect with what really matters in your life.
I care
…about the whole you - how you nourish yourself, your social circle, your daily rituals, your beliefs, you relationship, your deep driving desires… I enjoy exploring what its like to be you in the world, and teasing out the layers and threads that might have otherwise never been visible. More than anything, I love watching the people I work with unfold and bloom before my eyes - it is such an honour to be part of that journey of self-reclamation.
I live
….as naturally and intuitively as possible. I follow a plant-based diet, practice natural stress-relieving techniques, and make therapeutic, non-toxic candles & remedies for fun. I also believe in natural parenting - bed-sharing and breast-feeding to our own intuitive tune (not society’s), and always, always hugging it out. There really is no such thing as a spoilt baby, mama; breathe them in and hold them close - “the days are long but the years are short”.
